On Saturday, June 14, the sixth edition of the European Youth Event (EYE 2025) was held at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Organised every two years, this year’s event brought together more than 9,000 young people aged 16 to 30 from across the European Union.

During the interactive workshop entitled “The City of Strasbourg, at the Heart of Europe,” led by the Mission Strasbourg, European Capital, participants worked together to imagine their ideal European capital, based on the fundamental values of democracy, culture, inclusion, and sustainability.

The discussions focused on the importance of youth civic engagement in strengthening their role within institutions, green mobility as a pillar of an environmentally friendly city, culture as a vehicle for social cohesion, and the role of languages in celebrating European diversity.
