The 16th edition of the European Forum on Bioethics (EFB) was held in Strasbourg from 4 to 7 February 2026 under the theme “Health & Society”, with an inaugural session taking place in the hemicycle of the European Parliament.
Founded in 2011, the EFB is a long-standing event that invites the general public to reflect on major ethical issues. Over the course of four days, European experts, including philosophers, academics, physicians, midwives and psychiatrists, took part in discussions on a wide range of topics, from the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare to prevention, child and adolescent health, disability and the current challenges in access to healthcare.
As a unique event of its kind at the European level, the Forum is supported by the Strasbourg, European Capital Triennial Contract 2024–2026.
This 16th edition is available to revisit via podcast and recorded sessions. For more information, please visit the Forum Européen de Bioéthique website
