Strasbourg Airport now boasts a new VIP terminal—a Pavillon d’Honneur—designed to welcome heads of state or government during parliamentary sessions or major diplomatic events (around 400 delegations a year).
With an enlarged lounge area and an extensive aeronautical infrastructure, this new facility is fully equipped for hosting international events worthy of Strasbourg’s status as the capital of Europe.
The work on the new building and airport pavement systems was overseen by Strasbourg Airport at a total cost of almost €15 million, co-financed equally by the French state, the Grand Est Region and the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg.
